CNC Saw Operator / Material Handler

Field-Max Industrial Ltd. is looking for a reliable and experienced CNC Saw Operator / Material Handler to join our fabrication shop team.

This position involves operating CNC saw equipment, handling structural steel, and moving material throughout the shop and yard using forklifts and telehandlers. The ideal candidate will have experience in a structural steel or fabrication environment and be comfortable working safely around heavy material and equipment.

Responsibilities:

- Operate CNC band saws and other material-cutting equipment
- Read and interpret shop drawings, cut lists, and measurements
- Measure, mark, cut, and verify structural steel to required dimensions
- Cut material including beams, channels, angles, pipe, tubing, and other structural steel
- Operate forklifts and telehandlers to move material throughout the shop and yard
- Load and unload trucks and material deliveries
- Safely handle long, heavy, and irregular steel loads
- Use overhead cranes and other material-handling equipment as required
- Stage and organize material for fitters, welders, and fabrication crews
- Identify, sort, and maintain proper material organization
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow company safety procedures and shop requirements
- Work with shop supervision to maintain efficient production flow

Required Experience & Qualifications:





- Previous CNC saw or industrial band saw experience
- Forklift experience required
- Telehandler experience required
- Experience working in a structural steel, welding, or fabrication shop environment
- Ability to read shop drawings, cut lists, and measurements
- Strong tape-measure and basic math skills
- Comfortable handling heavy structural steel
- Experience with overhead cranes is an asset
- Forklift and telehandler certifications are preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate cuts
- Mechanically inclined and comfortable operating industrial equipment
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Strong commitment to workplace safety

What We’re Looking For:

We need someone who can do more than just operate a saw. The successful candidate will be comfortable moving steel, loading and unloading material, keeping the shop organized, and helping maintain an productive workflow.

You must be confident operating forklifts and telehandlers around structural steel and understand how to safely handle long and heavy loads.

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: Monday to Friday
Overtime may be available depending on workload.

Compensation: Competitive and based on experience.
