Overview
We are seeking a motivated and reliable 2nd- or 3rd-Year Apprentice to join our growing team in Calgary. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced journeypersons on commercial, and/or industrial projects while continuing to develop their trade skills.

Responsibilities

- Valid Alberta Drivers License
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine project specifications.
- Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard.
- Utilize power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and assembling materials.
- Perform flooring installation and ensure proper finishing techniques are applied.
- Execute caulking tasks to seal joints and seams for weatherproofing.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, including electricians, to complete projects efficiently.
- Conduct construction estimating to provide accurate project timelines and material needs.
- Fabricate custom pieces as required for specific project requirements.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols.

Requirements

- Proven experience as an Apprentice or similar role in the construction industry.




- Strong skills in blueprint reading and understanding technical specifications.
- Proficient in the use of power tools and hand tools relevant to carpentry work.
- Knowledge of electrical systems is a plus for collaborative projects with electricians.
- Familiarity with construction estimating practices to assist in project planning.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team to achieve project goals.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality craftsmanship.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues on-site

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Apprenticeship

Pay: $24.00-$32.00 per hour
