About the Role

At Marcantonio Designs, we don't just manufacture furniture; we create functional art. We are seeking a master-level Upholsterer who specializes in traditional, bench-made techniques. If you have a passion for high-end luxury, an eagle eye for detail, and the skills to work with the world’s finest fabrics and leathers, we want to hear from you.

As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for the "bench-made" process—meaning you take ownership of a piece from the bare frame to the final, polished product.

What You’ll Do

- Masterful Upholstery: Apply high-end fabrics (velvets, linens, silks) and premium leathers to custom-built sofa and chair frames.
- Bench-Made Excellence: Execute the entire upholstery process including springing, webbing, foam application, and final fabric/leather tailoring.
- Precision Tailoring: Expertly match patterns, ensure perfect seam alignment, and handle complex details like deep diamond tufting, decorative nailing, and welt cords.
- Material Integrity: Inspect frames and materials for defects to ensure every piece meets the Marcantonio gold standard.
- Collaborate: Work closely with our design and woodworking teams to bring custom, one-of-a-kind sketches to life.

What You Bring

- Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in high-end, custom upholstery.




- Skill Set: Proven expertise in working with genuine leather (handling hides/stretch) and delicate luxury fabrics.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of furniture construction, including 8-way hand-tied springs and high-resiliency foam application.
- Detail-Oriented: A "perfectionist" mindset—you see the small stitch that others miss.
- Efficiency: Ability to maintain a high standard of quality while meeting production deadlines in a professional shop environment.
