Retail Sales Associate – Desert City Games

Location: Kamloops, BC
Pay: $19.00–$20.00 per hour
Schedule: Wednesday–Sunday, primarily evening/closing shifts

Desert City Games is looking for a reliable and outgoing Retail Sales Associate to join our team.

We’re a busy local hobby and trading card game store specializing in Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, One Piece, Flesh and Blood, and other TCGs, as well as tabletop games, accessories, and organized play.

This is a customer service and retail position first. Knowledge of trading card games is a strong asset, but we’re primarily looking for someone who is dependable, comfortable working with customers, and able to stay productive without needing constant direction.

What You'll Be Doing

- Helping customers find products and answering questions
- Operating the till and handling day-to-day sales
- Picking and preparing online orders
- Stocking, organizing, and maintaining store inventory
- Sorting and putting away trading cards
- Receiving and putting away shipments
- Keeping shelves stocked, faced, and organized
- Keeping the sales floor, play area, and back room clean
- Assisting with store events and organized play
- Completing closing duties and leaving the store ready for the next day
- Handling customer issues and finding solutions when problems come up

- Is comfortable working evening and weekend shifts

Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred.

Knowledge of Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, One Piece, Flesh and Blood, or other TCGs is an asset, but you do not need to be an expert to apply.

Schedule

This position will primarily work Wednesday through Sunday, including evening closing shifts and weekends.

Applicants should have consistent availability during these times.

Compensation

$19.00–$20.00 per hour, depending on experience.
