Overview
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Childcare Provider for our family (2 kids, a 5-year old and 1.5 year old). The ideal candidate will have a passion for nurturing and educating young children, creating a safe and engaging environment for their growth and development using a gentle/conscious parenting style. This role is only for individuals who have experience working with children and are committed to fostering a positive, patient, progressive, and accepting atmosphere.

Responsibilities

- Create a secure, nurturing, and inclusive environment for all children.
- Implement and supervise engagement in educational, leaning, and recreational activities that align with early childhood education standards.
- Assist children with daily routines, including meals, hygiene, and transitions between activities.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the childcare area.
- Prepare healthy and nutritious meals for children and assist with preparation of meals for adults.
- Pick up and drop off child(ren) at daycare/school (does not require driving, but driver's license is preferred)
- Observe children's behaviour and development, providing feedback to parents as needed.
- Laundry and related cleaning and organizing activities.

Qualifications

- 2-3 years experience working with children in a classroom or caregiving setting.




- Knowledge of early childhood education principles is required, with specific knowledge and focus on gentle/conscious parenting principles.
- Ability to educate and inspire children through creative play and structured activities.
- Strong patience, persistence, and empathy.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with children and parents.
- Minimum high school education or equivalent
- Permanent resident or Canadian Citizen

Pay: $18.50-$22.00 per hour
