OWNER-OPERATOR – TRACTOR WITH 53-FOOT TRAILER

Y2K Transportation is seeking a dependable and professional Owner-Operator who owns and operates a well-maintained tractor with 53-foot trailer.

Our operation focuses primarily on local deliveries of construction materials and general freight throughout Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. We offer year-round, consistent work, and efficient route planning to help provide reliable and predictable earnings.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Safely pick up and deliver construction materials and general freight
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Properly secure and protect all freight including tarping
- Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and proof of delivery
- Communicate clearly with dispatch and customers
- Keep the tractor and trailer clean, safe, and well maintained
- Represent Y2K Transportation professionally at customer locations and job sites

REQUIREMENTS

- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Valid Class 1 Driver’s Licence
- Minimum of two years of tractor-trailer driving experience
- Must own and operate a tractor with a 53-foot trailer
- Clean driver’s abstract with a strong safety record
- Active WorkSafeBC/WCB coverage
- Valid commercial insurance, registration, and required safety inspections
- Strong knowledge of cargo securement and safe freight handling
- Experience transporting construction materials or general freight is preferred
- Must successfully complete a background check
- Must provide professional references upon request
- Professional attitude,



strong work ethic, and ability to work independently
- Reliable communication and a commitment to excellent customer service
- Must speak fluent english

COMPENSATION

Expected contract compensation: $9,000–$13,000 per month, depending on availability, workload, and completed deliveries.
