Job Type: Full-time / Part-time
Location: Beverly Med Pharmacy, Richmond Hill
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Pharmacy Assistant to join our pharmacy team. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, patient-focused, and comfortable working in a busy community pharmacy environment.
The successful candidate should have previous community pharmacy experience and be able to work efficiently with minimal supervision while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Process prescriptions accurately and efficiently under the supervision of a pharmacist or registered pharmacy technician.
- Enter prescription information into the pharmacy computer system.
- Prepare, count, package, and label medications accurately.
- Assist with prescription adjudication and resolving insurance/third-party billing issues.
- Communicate professionally with patients, healthcare professionals, and other pharmacy staff.
- Receive, unpack, organize, and maintain medication inventory.
- Assist with ordering medications and maintaining appropriate stock levels.
- Handle prescription refill requests and assist with patient inquiries.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment.
- Assist with filing, documentation, and other pharmacy administrative duties.
- Provide excellent and respectful customer service.
- Follow all pharmacy policies, procedures, and applicable legislation.
- Work effectively as part of a team and support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in daily operations.
Qualifications
- Previous community pharmacy experience is required.
- Pharmacy Assistant experience in Ontario is strongly preferred.
- Experience with Kroll pharmacy software is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of prescription processing and third-party insurance billing.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a busy environment.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Professional, dependable, and patient-focused attitude.
- Fluency in both English and Farsi is required for this position.

Registered Pharmacy Technician
Job Type: Full-time / Part-time
We are looking for an experienced Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) to join our community pharmacy team. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable, organized, detail-oriented, and committed to providing safe and high-quality pharmacy services.
The successful candidate will be expected to work independently within their scope of practice, maintain a high level of accuracy, and work collaboratively with pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, and other members of the healthcare team.
Responsibilities
- Process and prepare prescriptions accurately and efficiently in accordance with pharmacy policies, procedures, and applicable legislation.
- Perform the technical aspects of prescription preparation and dispensing.
- Enter, process, and maintain accurate prescription and patient information in the pharmacy system.
- Conduct final technical checks within the technician's scope of practice and in accordance with applicable requirements.
- Assist with prescription adjudication and resolve third-party billing issues.
- Prepare medication orders, compliance packaging, and other prescription-related services as required.
- Communicate professionally with patients, healthcare professionals, and pharmacy staff.
- Assist pharmacists with the day-to-day operation of the pharmacy.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure pharmacy records are complete and up to date.
- Receive, check, organize, and maintain medication inventory.
- Assist with medication ordering, inventory management, recalls, and expiry-date checks.
- Identify and report medication discrepancies, potential errors, and other safety concerns.
- Follow all applicable legislation, standards of practice, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe dispensing area.
- Provide excellent patient-centred service and contribute to a positive pharmacy environment.
- Support and train pharmacy assistants when required.
- Work collaboratively with the pharmacy team to ensure prescriptions are processed safely and efficiently.
Qualifications
- Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists.
- Previous community pharmacy experience is required.
- Strong knowledge of prescription processing and pharmacy workflow.
- Experience with Kroll pharmacy software is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of third-party insurance billing and Ontario pharmacy processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to medication safety.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and make appropriate decisions within scope of practice.
- Ability to prioritize workload and work efficiently in a busy pharmacy environment.
- Professional, dependable, and patient-focused attitude.
- Strong teamwork and leadership skills.
- Fluency in both English and Farsi is required for this position.
