Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Department Manager to lead and oversee daily operations within our retail environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive retail management experience, and excellent communication abilities. This role involves managing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth through effective merchandising, marketing, and team development. Bilingual or multilingual skills are highly desirable to better serve our diverse customer base. The Department Manager will play a key role in maintaining operational excellence, implementing strategic initiatives, and fostering a positive team culture.

Duties

- Lead and supervise store staff, including recruiting, training, and developing team members to ensure high performance and customer satisfaction
- Oversee daily store operations, including cashiering, POS transactions, cash handling, and inventory management
- Manage merchandising strategies to optimize product placement and pricing for maximum sales impact
- Develop and execute marketing plans to attract customers and increase store traffic
- Maintain accurate payroll processing & budget reporting
- Implement sales management strategies to meet or exceed sales targets




- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching to team members
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety standards, and store procedures
- Foster a welcoming environment through excellent customer service and effective communication skills

Experience

- Proven supervisory or managerial experience in retail or related fields with a strong background in store management
- Demonstrated success in sales management, merchandising, and marketing strategies
- Strong leadership abilities with experience in team management and training & development programs
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail sales operations
- Effective communication skills with the ability to conduct interviews, provide feedback, and lead meetings confidently
