Are you someone who takes pride in keeping things clean, organized, and looking their best? Chateau Nova Kingsway is looking for a dependable Part-Time Evening Houseperson / Janitorial Associate to join our Housekeeping team.

This is a hands-on position that plays an important part in the guest experience. You’ll help keep our hotel’s public spaces clean, comfortable, and welcoming while supporting the Housekeeping team wherever needed.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Clean and maintain hotel public areas, hallways, elevators, entrances, offices, and other assigned spaces
- Clean and restock public washrooms
- Sweep, vacuum, shampoo carpets, and clean windows, mirrors, fixtures, walls, and other surfaces
- Empty garbage and recycling and keep public areas neat and presentable
- Help keep exterior areas and parking areas free of litter and debris
- Load, unload, and move supplies and equipment as required
- Assist with seasonal outdoor duties such as snow removal and salting walkways
- Identify and report maintenance, safety, security, or other concerns
- Respond professionally to guest requests and concerns
- Pitch in with other Housekeeping duties when needed

The position involves regular standing, walking, bending, reaching, crouching and lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment is a hotel setting, which has the following conditions: medium-high noise environment; high traffic area for internal guests, exposure to moving parts and equipment such as vacuum, steam cleaner, washer, and dryer. Potential exposure to theft and/or belligerent guests. Exposure to chemicals. Frequently working in areas of high temperatures around heavy equipment. Exposure to sharps and biohazards.
