**Data Center Technician III**

**Job Description**

We are seeking a skilled Data Center Technician III to manage and support the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and decommissioning of critical data center infrastructure.

This role includes responsibilities such as racking and stacking servers, installing fiber and copper cabling, supporting hardware upgrades, and troubleshooting network and server issues.

The successful candidate will coordinate with vendors and project teams, maintain accurate documentation and inventory records, and provide mentorship to junior technicians.

**Responsibilities**

+ Oversee the installation and maintenance of critical data center infrastructure.
+ Rack and stack servers, and install fiber and copper cabling.
+ Support hardware upgrades and troubleshoot network and server issues.
+ Coordinate with vendors and project teams to ensure seamless operations.
+ Maintain accurate documentation and inventory records.
+ Provide mentorship and guidance to junior technicians.

**Essential Skills**

+ 4-5 years of experience with server racking, fiber and copper cabling, hardware installations, and troubleshooting.
+ 1 year of experience overseeing at least two other technicians.
+ Ability to work independently and troubleshoot effectively.
+ Robust organizational skills and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and rack elevations.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders, overhead cable trays, and raised floors.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ CSTS certification is a plus.
+ Experience with power, cooling, racks, and cabling is advantageous.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

**Workplace Type**
This is a fully onsite position in Prince George,BC.
