The Maple Staple is a bookstore located at Stock Yards Mall, Nations Experience Building Second Floor (1980 St. Claire Ave, Toronto, ON, M6N0A3). The bookstore showcases different niche of books including fiction, non fiction, sci-fi, love story, adult, romance and etc. The Maple Staple strives to offer excellent books to the customer and premium customer service to the visitors.

We are seeking a Bookstore Associate to become an integral part of our team! You will be responsible for selling products, merchandise, and services in a retail setting in order to drive company revenue.

Responsibilities:

- Welcome and identify customer needs
- Explain products and services to customers
- Monitor inventory to ensure product is in stock
- Enter and process customer orders
- Update inventory trackers, mailer trackers, marketing trackers,and other documents.
- Take pictures of books and other products for reporting and marketing purposes.
- Coordinate with the different departments of the company.
- Maintain cleanliness of the bookstore.




- Other bookstore and office related tasks as instructed by the owner.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in sales, customer service, or other related fields
- Ability to thrive in a quick-paced environment
- Ability to build rapport with customers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Experience in Google Docs and Sheets is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour
