At PSP Investments, you’ll join a team of motivated and engaged professionals, dedicated to propelling our organization further than ever before.ABOUT THE TEAMWe’re seeking an Associate, Natural Resources Investments (“NR”) for our investment team, who will be highly involved in building out and overseeing the NR portfolio (CAD$19.7 billion of assets under management as of March 31st, 2026) through direct investments and strategic partnerships in the natural resource sector, with a focus onmining.
The Associate will be involved in investment screening, financial analysis and modelling, industry analysis, transaction due diligence and deal execution. He/she will participate in the investment decision process, preparation of investment recommendation memos, post-investment monitoring activities, working with portfolio companies, as well as researching industry trends.ABOUT YOUR ROLEAs an Associate, Natural Resources Investments, you’ll:Perform investment analysis and execute transactionsPerform preliminary analysis of investment opportunities, meet with prospective partners and industry experts and prepare summary reportsPerform in-depth due diligence of potential investments, identify key investment merits and risks, meet with management teams,
review documentation and work in conjunction with partners and third-party consultantsAct as the lead in the development of detailed financial models, including performing extensive sensitivity analyses, review of financial projections and valuation assumptionsAct as the lead in the preparation of investment recommendation memorandums for investment approvalParticipate in presentations to various committees as requiredRepresent the NR Team across the Mining, Timber, Agriculture and Investment IndustriesActive networking with industry experts, consultants, peers and industry playersAttend conferences, organize meetings and keep up to date on industry trendsParticipate in building deal-flow and becoming a subject matter expertActively Manage InvestmentsMonitor financial and operating resultsInteract with management and operating partnersWork alongside management teams of portfolio companies on specific projects to create valueNote: This position requires travel.WHAT YOU’LL NEEDUniversity degree with strong academic standingProfessional designation: CFA an assetMinimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in private investments, investment banking, consulting, corporate finance, equity research or in a natural resources companyExperience and/or education in mining a strong assetExcellent financial and analytical skillsProject management skills and ability to meet tight deadlinesStrong communication and presentation skillsAbility to demonstrate leadership and sound business judgementMature, driven, motivated and ability to take initiativeResponsible,
