The Role
We are looking for highly social, outgoing, and intrinsically motivated Campus Launch Ambassadors to be the face of R3ACH at McGill. Reporting directly to the Head of Strategy, you will be our boots on the ground during our most critical launch window. Your primary goal is simple: generate buzz and drive app downloads. Whether you are manning a booth, handing out free drink tickets at OAP and BDA, or creating authentic social content, you will be the driving force behind our early user adoption.
What You’ll Do
- On-the-Ground Promotion: Attend major student-run events (like OAP and BDA) to directly advertise R3ACH. You will man booths, hand out incentives (like drink tickets), and pitch the app directly to students to drive downloads.
- Content Creation (UGC): Create authentic, engaging User-Generated Content for our social media channels.
- Community Partnerships: Leverage your network to connect with student organizations, fraternities, and clubs to promote the app.
- Strategic Iteration: Collaborate closely with the founders to share on-the-ground feedback. If a certain pitch or incentive isn't working, tell us, and we will pivot the strategy together.
Who You Are
- The Startup Mindset: You are chill, easygoing, and eager to learn. You aren't afraid to walk up to a group of strangers and pitch a cool new product.
- Autonomous & Transparent: You are self-motivated, honest, and take direct feedback well. You are confident in your abilities (without being arrogant) and creative enough to try out-of-the-box ideas to get people's attention.
- Must-Have Skills:
- Highly outgoing with solid verbal communication skills.
- Strong intuition for social media trends and platforms.
- Basic proficiency in editing software (CapCut, in-app native editing, Canva).
- Nice-to-Have Skills: Experience with generative AI tools, basic marketing strategy,
or an existing strong network within McGill student organizations.
Compensation Structure
This role features a unique, highly rewarding three-part compensation model designed for students who want to hustle:
- Hourly Wage: 25$ an hour paid for time spent working at booths and attending designated events.
- Performance Commissions: Earn unlimited bonuses for every new user download you drive, for getting users to attend our events, and for recruiting new ambassadors to the team.
- Content Payouts: Earn a flat-rate payout for every piece of approved User-Generated Content (UGC) you create.
What You’ll Learn (The Mentorship Advantage)
- Grassroots Growth & Sales: Learn the mechanics of "zero-to-one" user acquisition. You will get real-world experience in direct sales, event marketing, and growth hacking.
- Behavioral Insights: See firsthand what actually motivates people to download an app and engage with a brand, which is an invaluable skill for future entrepreneurial ventures or consulting roles.
- Startup Operations: Get direct exposure to how a startup operates, iterates, and scales during a high-pressure launch window.
Logistics
- Location: In-person (McGill Campus, Montreal).
- Duration: ~2-month intensive program at the start of the school year, with the potential to extend the role and continue earning download commissions for the foreseeable future.
- Commitment: 10-15 hours per week.
Application Deadline:
September 3, 2026 11:59 PM
