Pound & Grain | Contract | Full-Time | Remote

We're looking for a copywriter who can take the ball and run with it. You'll write across social, video, scripting and digital for a range of clients - and you'll be trusted to figure out what the work needs, not wait to be told.

Pound & Grain is a small, senior-led agency, which means no layers between you and the work. You'll collaborate with in-house designers, editors and creative directors - sometimes leading, sometimes supporting, always making the work better. This role requires range, speed and a genuine love of writing in all its forms, from a six-word social post to a sixty-second script.

Writing & Concept Development

- Write across every format - social posts, video scripts, digital campaigns, emails, OOH, headlines, brand voice and long-form content.
- Develop concepts, not just execute them. Bring ideas to the table from day one.
- Move between brands and tones without losing the plot - one hour it's a sportsbook, the next it's financial services.
- Maintain brand voice consistency across all touchpoints and channels.

Collaboration & Execution

- Partner with art directors, designers, editors and social team members to build ideas that are visual and verbal from the start.
- Work with editors and producers to carry scripts through production and post.




- Take direction from creative directors and give them reasons to trust you with more.
- Use AI tools to move faster where it helps and know where the human judgment lives.

Client & Project Engagement

- Present your work to clients and stand behind it with clear rationale.
- Take feedback constructively and evolve the work without losing the idea.
- Manage multiple projects at once, hitting timelines without sacrificing quality.
- Stay plugged into culture, trends and platforms so the work never feels dated.

Who You Are

- A writer with range - sharp on social, disciplined on scripts, versatile everywhere else.
- Senior enough to work without a safety net. You edit yourself before anyone else has to.
- Curious, rapid and comfortable in a small team where everyone does real work.
- Experienced in an agency or brand environment writing for multiple clients or products.
