This permanent part-time position is at the Edmonton General Continuing Care Center, which supports nearly 500 people every day with long-term, subacute and hospice services. We are looking for a clinician that enjoys providing compassionate and supporting care to patients and families. The primarily responsibility for this dietitian role is nutrition and dysphagia assessments, and the development and maintenance of nutrition care plans for residents on multiple units while focusing on maintaining resident’s quality of life.
We are looking for someone who is reliable and accountable for their role and has a passion for team-based environments.
Description
Description: The Dietitian I is responsible for assessing, developing, implementing and evaluating the nutrition care for all patients/residents in the facility; on admission, quarterly and whenever there is a significant change in status to support optimum nutrition care. The dietitian acts as a liaison to the Nutrition and Food Services for program specific initiatives and supports. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the HSAA Paramedical Skilled/Technical Collective Agreement.

Required Qualifications Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science with a major in Foods and Nutrition accredited by the College of Dietitian's of Alberta (CDA) is required. Active registration with the College of Dietitians of Alberta required. Successful completion of an internship program or practicum training program that is accredited by the Dietitians of Canada is required
Additional Required Qualifications
Experience in a long term care setting.
Experience with dysphagia management.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using SGA/nutrition focused physical exam. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Flexibility and adaptability.
Experience with Connect Care.
