Lead projects promoting persistent digital identifiers as the Researcher Visibility and Identity Lead at the University of Waterloo. Collaborate with various teams to enhance research impact. The University of Waterloo Libraries seeks a skilled individual to oversee digital identifier initiatives.

In this role, you’ll coordinate services supporting open access and scholarly communications, crucial for the university’s research mission. Close collaboration with the Bibliometrics and Research Impact Librarian will be essential for the successful outreach and education efforts regarding persistent identifiers. Key Responsibilities:

- Direct project management for PID infrastructure development
- Develop outreach strategies to increase ORCID adoption




- Collaborate on technical workflows ensuring data integrity
- Analyze the effectiveness of PID services in research
- Guide training and information sessions for campus stakeholders Requirements:
- Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field
- Experience in project management and stakeholder engagement
- Solid background in bibliometrics and scholarly communications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with Open Science and data management best practices Contribute to research visibility and foster scholarly communication efforts within the University of Waterloo Libraries.
