Become a vital part of Shared Health as a Unit Assistant in Winnipeg. This in-person position focuses on patient support and collaboration in the Acute Stroke Unit. As a Unit Assistant, you will work under the guidance of registered nurses and assist them in providing high-quality patient care.
Candidates should possess a recognized Health Care Aide certification and prior experience in a health-related role. Solid organizational skills and effective communication abilities are essential to navigate the responsibilities effectively. Key Responsibilities:
- Support healthcare team members in delivering patient care
- Assist with patient mobility, including lifting and transferring
- Ensure safety protocols are followed in all tasks
•Organize and prioritize workload effectively
- Participate in mandatory training and orientation Requirements:
- Previous patient care experience is preferred
- Must have completed a Health Care Aide course
- Minimum grade 10 education is required
- Excellent oral and written English skills
