Join CBC/Radio-Canada as a Music Librarian to support music cataloguing and acquisition in a telework and in-office hybrid workplace. This role focuses on enhancing content discoverability through expert guidance and organization.
The Music
Librarian provides critical support to production needs by acquiring and cataloguing digital tracks. You will suggest music selections, advise teams on sound design, and refine cataloguing standards. Utilizing your passion for music and research, you'll contribute to the archival integrity of the CBC/Radio-Canada library. Key Responsibilities:
- Acquire music assets from various production sources
- Recommend music for broadcast and digital platforms
- Conduct research for music acquisition inquiries
- Prepare and maintain detailed reports
- Collaborate with production teams to refine standards Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in music or equivalent experience
- Minimum two years in a related role
- Knowledge of cataloguing rules and musical genres
- Proficiency with Google Workspace
- Strong command of French in reading, writing, and speaking Leverage your musical expertise and customer service skills to enhance CBC/Radio-Canada’s rich storytelling landscape.
