The full time specialist will collaborate within the People(s) and Culture/OHS team to develop and implement a comprehensive Occupational Health and Safety program.
Engage in health risk assessments, incident investigations, and compliance activities to ensure a safe educational environment. Your contributions will directly influence Humber's commitment to fostering a culture of safety and well-being. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain health and safety programs
- Conduct risk assessments and incident investigations
- Manage hazardous spill controls and emergency preparedness
- Review WSIB claims and support return-to-work efforts
- Liaise with regulatory agencies on health and safety matters Requirements:
- University degree in occupational health or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in health and safety
- Strong understanding of OHS legislation and regulations
- Designation in safety or occupational hygiene preferred
