General Summary The Operations Specialist, Technical Support, is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operational activities of the Technical Support team. This role oversees the management and maintenance of technical service publications operational systems, and key support resources to ensure effective service operations across the dealer network. The role also encompasses various business needs such as program analysis and tracking, system management, document repository, tracking, and the management of special tools (SST) and equipment through the Kia Tools, Equipment & Supplies (KTES) program.
This role is also responsible for maintaining important systems to support dealers such as KDS and KGSIS, and for administrative tasks related to budgeting and planning.

The role also encompasses various business needs such as program analysis and tracking, system management, document repository, tracking, and the management of special tools (SST) and equipment through the Kia Tools, Equipment & Supplies (KTES) program.
This role is also responsible for maintaining important systems to support dealers such as KDS and KGSIS, and for administrative tasks related to budgeting and planning.
This position reports directly to the Senior Manager,
Technical Support.
The Operations
Specialist will collaborate with other functions within Service Operations, including Warranty Management and Technical Support.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Create and post service bulletins, tech tips, Recalls and other technical documentation from multiple sources such as KHQ and KNA
Oversee timely French translation of all materials
Ensure that repair/replacement procedures in bulletins and technical publications are correct and applicable to the Canadian market
Assist with implementation of new processes & procedures including the documents depository
Support key actions and initiatives like FRFT with required materials and other tools
Track and report on improved parts designated for Recalls, Service Campaigns or Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs)
Verify repair/replacement procedures as described in bulletins and follow up on related parts availability with After Sales/MPCA
Assist in the analysis of data and product specifications, as support to formulate dealer programs and standards
Assist with KGSIS administration
Global Diagnostic System (KDS) support, including loaners
Support special tools program (SST) as required,
including orders and inventory control
Other special assignments and tasks as identified
Skills / Knowledge / Experience / Education Required
Strong knowledge of the automotive industry and service operations
Experience in operations and administration actions
Project management experience
Ability to analyze and improve operational processes
Strong problem-solving and time management skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Being bilingual is a plus
Automotive Service Technician License (Journey Person Level) with minimum 3-5 years’ experience.
Salary Range: $60,000 - $82,501
