Great Canadian Pizza & Butter Chicken Hut is looking to hire a Specialty Food Chef (TEER CODE 62200) on a permanent full-time basis.

Wages: $37 per hour
Minimum Education: High School or GED Equivalent
Minimum Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years in the similar field
Ranks of Chefs: Chef
On Site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
Job Duties
- Maintain record of food costs, consumption, sales and inventory.
- Demonstrate recent cooking techniques and new equipment to cooking staff
- Supervise activities of specialist chefs, cooks and other kitchen workers
- Create new recipes
- Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food
- Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events such as banquets.
- Prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions.
- Prepare and cook meals or specialty foods
- Plan menus and ensure good meets quality standards
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
- Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
Experience and specialization
Security and safety: Criminal Background Check
Client Focus, Effective interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, organized, reliability, team player.
Work Conditions
Fast Paced Environment, Handling heavy loads, combination of sitting, standing and walking, attention to detail, standing for extended periods.
