About The Role The Team Leader - Field Services is responsible for leading a team of operators and successfully providing a fast-paced service delivery of Uncrewed Vehicle Systems (UVS), including aerial, surface, ground, and control systems, in the delivery of training to multiple defense forces, in various locations worldwide.

What You’ll Do

Working in accordance with departmental procedures

Lead and manage the deployed field services team

Communicate the requirements of the customers to the management team and the subordinates

Develop and expand the relationship with the customer

Prepare reports for customer operations

Negotiate resources required and develop solutions to campaign problems

Controlling Uncrewed Vehicle Systems in accordance with operator manuals and service bulletins, range standard operating practices and flight test schedules The assembly and test of Uncrewed Vehicle Systems, and first line repair, including replacement of line replaceable units, in accordance with the company’s technical documentation

Fault diagnosis The preparation and removal of payloads

Handling and preparing pyrotechnics

Knowledge and operation of the various launcher systems

Complete post flight checks and replenish or repair as necessary

Provide training of the systems to others To take part in development of ongoing and future projects of QTS

Willingness to work flexible hours and shifting schedules

Requirement to travel to various worldwide locations. Travel may be for long durations, on short notice, and potential for various living conditions such as Military Housing or deployments on-board ships.

What You Bring

Experience working in an operational workplace

Experience leading a team

Domain knowledge of unmanned systems including aerial,



surface, ground, and control systems would be an asset

Field deployment experiences is an asset An Aviation degree or relevant knowledge, would be an asset

Project Management experience as an asset A Leadership & Management degree, certificate program, or similar experience, would be an asset

Strong leadership and people management skills

Strong communication and organizational skills

Ability to use positive language

Time management skills

Customer-oriented focus and interaction (presentations, interface, Q&A; requirements review)

Persuasion skills

Ability to make quick decisions while under pressure The ability to work autonomously and proactively to changing requirements and demanding environments, including operating onboard ships and in military live fire ranges and working in exposed weather conditions, both day and night

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada and meet the eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain the Government of Canada security clearance required for the position

Must be eligible for and maintain a clear background check, including criminal record screening, as required for security clearance

Able to obtain a NATO Secret Clearance

Travel Requirements

This role may require local,



domestic, and/or international travel depending on business needs.

Travel may be occasional, periodic, or frequent, and may include day trips, overnight stays, or extended assignments.

Travel is typically undertaken for purposes such as customer support, site visits, field operations, training, audits, installation, testing, or business development activities.

Travel may be planned in advance or occur on short notice, depending on operational requirements.

While travelling, employees may be required to work flexible or extended hours, including adapting to different time zones.

Travel may involve working in customer sites, industrial environments, field locations, or other non-office settings.

Employees are required to maintain a valid passport and any necessary visas, security clearances, or other travel documentation relevant to assigned travel.

Travel to certain locations may require compliance with health-related entry requirements, including vaccinations or immunizations, as mandated by applicable authorities or site requirements.
