Support engineering students at the University of Waterloo as an Instructional Support Coordinator. Engage in tutoring, mentoring, and developing creative educational strategies. In this full-time position within the Faculty of Engineering, you will assist first year students through tutorials and labs while overseeing a team of tutors.
Your role also includes grading assignments and managing course documentation to support student learning effectively. Key Responsibilities:
- Tutor students in fundamental engineering disciplines
- Oversee and mentor First-Year Tutors and teaching assistants
- Develop grading systems and course materials
- Schedule classes and coordinate academic help sessions
- Train students in lab procedures and equipment use Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline
- Teaching experience is preferable
- Strong understanding of calculus, physics, and programming
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities
- Familiarity with engineering lab practices Facilitate a nurturing academic atmosphere and guide first-year engineers to success at the University of Waterloo.
