VFX project manager

We are looking for someone with experience as a Project Manager in residential construction. This person must be organized, resourceful, and intelligent. Someone who understands and is able to create and manage complete and accurate budgets, financial forecasts, change orders, efficient schedules and deadlines on multiple jobs simultaneously.

An individual who easily interacts with customers, team members, consultants, sub trades and suppliers. Computer skills, management skills, spreadsheets, and communication skills are all key. A detailed knowledge of the construction industry is also vital to this role.

This position involves meeting with clients, vetting sub trades, RFQ's and sourcing materials and supplies. With autonomy, and in a team environment, you will be building custom homes and/or completing renovations - all requiring a keen ability to multitask. You would be helping customers build their dream home or renovate - from the time they sketch out things on napkins to the day you hand them the keys to their new home.

Reviewing preliminary specifications

Estimating and Budgets

RFQ's

Labour, materials and subtrade forecasts

Building Permit Applications

Purchase Orders,



Change Orders

Leadership

Computer skills

Spreadsheet skills

Construction software

Customer Relation skills

Knowledge of the residential construction industry

Experience in residential construction

This role consists of

Regular meetings with clients to discuss budgets and timelines

Guiding clients with design and material selections

Educating the client about our process

Sending plans out for tender

Vetting sub trades

Project schedule management

Sourcing and ordering materials and supplies

Following PO procedures

Estimating & building schedules

Executing contracts

Managing multiple projects

Wage and bonus compensation will be negotiated based on experience and skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $36.00-$45.00 per hour
