Senior Project Manager – Transit Infrastructure (GTA)Overview

One of Canada's largest and most reputable construction companies is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join its growing Transit Infrastructure division in the Greater Toronto Area. This role is ideal for a seasoned leader with deep expertise in rail and transit projects, looking to take full ownership of high-profile, complex builds.

You will play a key role in delivering major LRT, heavy rail, and civil infrastructure projects, while leading high-performing teams and maintaining strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the full lifecycle of large-scale transit infrastructure projects, from pre-construction through to close-out
- Manage and oversee LRT, heavy rail, and heavy civil projects across the GTA
- Act as the primary client interface, ensuring strong relationships and successful project delivery
- Provide strategic leadership to project teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and performance
- Oversee project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management
- Lead procurement processes, subcontractor selection, and contract negotiations
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget
- Mentor and develop Project Managers, Coordinators, and site teams




- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to align with company culture and operational excellence

Qualifications & Experience

- 12+ years of experience in construction project management
- Strong background in transit and rail infrastructure (LRT, metro, or heavy rail)
- Proven track record managing large-scale projects valued in the hundreds of millions
- Extensive experience in pre-construction, procurement, and contract negotiation
- Demonstrated success in client-facing roles and stakeholder management
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to build and lead high-performing teams
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Work Environment

- Based in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA)
- Full-time, in-office or project site presence (5 days/week)
