- Unpack productsreceived by store and count, weigh or sortitems
- Keeping a record ofsales and restocking the store accordingly
- Maintain receipts,records, and withdrawals of the stockroom
- Use barcode scanningequipment to record incoming stock, verify pricing and maintaincomputerized stock inventory
- Planning promotionalcampaigns for current products or specials
- Inspect deliveriesfor damage or discrepancies; report those to accountingfor reimbursements and record keeping
- May operate cashregister and computer for electronic commercetransactions
- Mediating anyconfrontations between staff and clients, and de-escalating thesituation
- Rotate stock andcoordinate the disposal of surpluses

Requirements

- A high schoolqualification or equivalent
- Knowledge of properbookkeeping and inventory management
- Prior experience inretail, preferably in a management position, would beadvantageous
- Atleast 2 years ofexperience in storekeeping,



inventory control, orrecordkeeping
- Ability to safely andlegally operate a forklift
- Physical ability tofrequently lift and carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds,and occasionally up to 50 lbs
- Well-presented andprofessional

Salary: $23.00 - $31.00 perhour
