Engineer I, New Graduate Program

Where will you work: Mosaic Potash Esterhazy is an underground potash mine located 90 kilometers south of Yorkton. Its split between three mine sites - K1, K2 and K3 which will be the largest, and one of the world’s most competitive underground potash mines in the world.
Mosaic Potash Colonsay is a conventional shaft mine that utilizes two-rotor mining machines and room and pillar mining techniques. This underground potash mine is located 70 kilometers southeast of Saskatoon. Mosaic Potash Belle Plaine is a solution mine and refinery located 50 kilometers west of Regina on the Trans-Canada Highway.
It is the world’s largest solution mine that is full of talented people and is home to over 500 dedicated employees. Mosaic Corporate Canadian Office Regina located at 2010 12th avenue in Regina SK employs supporting functions of Mosaic operations.

From functional areas such as procurement, engineering, quality control, IT (Information Technology), public affairs, HR (Human Resources) and marketing.

What Will You Do?

Provide plant process engineering support to the operations group, including plant optimization, troubleshooting, efficiency improvement, problem solving, and problem prevention. Leverage ideas and assistance including resources across plant sites.
Plan and identify business objectives by evaluating viable options, preliminary design development, and preliminary economic and risk mitigation evaluation. Provide commission and start-up support for assigned projects. Support current business initiatives, such as specific problem-solving projects or improvement activities involving multiple sites.





Ensure site safety and environmental standards are being followed through safety audits, risk assessments, and housekeeping tours. Report any issues that can impact the environment or the safety of the employees.

Qualifications

- Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Mining, Industrial, Civil)
- Proficiency in MS Office products, PI/OSISoft products or similar data historian
- Added benefit if the experience is with AutoCAD, Microsoft Project/Primavera (or similar software) experience.
- Excellent written and communication skills and ability to interface with all levels of management.
- Must demonstrate ability to influence others; requires strong leadership qualities, and team building.
- Manage and control project costs and schedule by ensuring that effective project controls are in place and functioning properly.
- Providing coordination between design, procurement, and/or construction for integration of technical content and schedule activities.
- Engine I 0-2 years of related experience in engineering, industrial project experience, or engineering project management.

Bonus Points

- SAP/Maximo application experience
- Industrial chemical plant or mining facility project management experience
- PE, PMI certification
