Provide meaningful support as a part time Mental Health Counsellor at Nisa Homes in Hamilton, Ontario. Focus on mentoring women through individual counseling and community connections.

As a Mental Health Counsellor, you will lead one-on-one sessions and support groups to help residents navigate their challenges. This role encompasses crisis assessment, problem-solving, and referrals to external services, fostering a holistic environment for healing and self-improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

- Facilitate weekly supportive counseling sessions
- Implement regular mental wellness support groups
- Create a secure atmosphere for client interactions
- Manage case assessments and provide updates
- Ensure proper training for staff on relevant topics

Requirements:

- Degree in Psychology or Social Work preferred
- 2-3 years of experience in counseling or similar role
- Proficient in English; second language is beneficial
- Strong adherence to ethical practices in care
- Must pass a Vulnerable sector check

Serve as a critical resource for women at Nisa Homes and empower them on their journeys.
