Join Metro Vancouver as a Permitting & Enforcement Officer responsible for upholding environmental regulations. This role is integral to ensuring compliance within air quality and waste management at various industrial sites.

As part of the Environmental Regulation & Enforcement team, you will conduct inspections, analyze pollution complaints, and draft recent permits based on legislative guidelines. Your technical skills and regulatory insight will play a key role in educating industries and fostering compliance with air emission standards, impacting the region’s overall environmental health.

Key Responsibilities:

- Inspect and assess compliance of both permitted and unpermitted sites
- Monitor emissions and draft site inspection reports




- Analyze air quality and odors in response to public complaints
- Develop and negotiate permit specifications with industries
- Assist in emission testing and data management

Requirements:

- Diploma focused on Chemistry or pollution control
- Knowledge of industry-specific environmental regulations
- Valid Driver’s Licence for British Columbia
- Ability to manage public inquiries and resolve pollution complaints
- Significant field inspection experience

Your expertise in environmental management will be pivotal in enhancing Metro Vancouver’s air quality efforts.
