Job Summary

Duties

- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on trucks, coaches, and related heavy equipment using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, brake inspections, tire rotations, and fluid replacements to ensure vehicle longevity
- Repair and service various industrial equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery to maintain operational readiness
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical devices to execute repairs accurately and efficiently
- Operate heavy machinery safely during maintenance procedures or testing phases while adhering to safety protocols
- Interpret electrical diagrams and schematics to troubleshoot electrical systems within vehicles and industrial equipment




- Collaborate with team members to complete repairs promptly while maintaining high standards of quality and safety compliance

Skills

- Proven dealership or automotive repair experience with a strong background in heavy-duty truck maintenance
- Extensive knowledge of Caterpillar engines, HVAC systems, welding techniques, and electrical systems
- Skilled in the operation of heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other industrial machinery
- Ability to read schematics accurately and apply mechanical knowledge effectively during diagnostics and repairs
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, power lifts, and assembly techniques required for complex repairs
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly about repair needs and timelines
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and working in various environmental conditions while maintaining safety standards
