Established in 2019, ONbord Doors and Processed Panels Inc. is a growing manufacturer of thermal laminate cabinet doors, processed panels, mouldings, and furniture components. Based in Mississauga, Ontario, we operate from an 80,000 sq. ft. facility and are seeking an experienced 5-spindle moulder operator/technician to join our production team.

Position Overview The ideal candidate has hands-on experience setting up and operating multi-spindle through-feed moulders in a woodworking or millwork environment. Responsibilities include moulder setup, tooling, machine adjustments, quality control, maintenance, and first-line troubleshooting while consistently producing moulding profiles to specification.

Main Responsibilities

- Set up and operate a 5-spindle through-feed moulder, including tooling installation, head alignment, feed rates, speeds, and first-piece verification
- Read and interpret work orders, profile drawings, shop drawings, and production specifications
- Install and adjust profile tooling to produce accurate and consistent moulding profiles
- Perform efficient machine changeovers while maintaining production schedules
- Conduct first-piece, in-process, and final quality inspections using calipers, gauges, and visual inspection
- Make machine adjustments as required to maintain dimensional accuracy, surface quality, and tight tolerances
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and basic mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical troubleshooting
- Identify equipment issues and coordinate more complex repairs with maintenance personnel
- Feed, tail, and safely handle materials through the production process




- Support downstream production processes when required
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow 5S principles
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and immediately report hazards or equipment issues
- Accurately record production output, scrap, downtime, and other required production information

Requirements

- Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience setting up and operating a multi-spindle through-feed moulder, ideally a 5-spindle moulder
- Experience in a production woodworking, millwork, moulding, or cabinet manufacturing environment
- Proven ability to set up a moulder from drawings, profiles, and production specifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read shop drawings and technical specifications
- Proficient with precision measuring tools, including calipers and gauges
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain tight tolerances
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a rapid-paced production environment

Preferred Experience

- Experience operating Weinig or similar moulders, including SCM or Leadermac
- Profile tooling and knife setup experience
- Experience working with MDF, hardwoods, and laminated or wrapped materials
- Previous experience in cabinet door, millwork, moulding, or furniture component manufacturing
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification

Physical Requirements

- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable standing for extended periods
- Ability to safely feed, handle, and move production materials
- Strong manual dexterity and coordination

Education & Experience

- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of recent relevant experience operating and setting up multi-spindle moulders
- Related woodworking, millwork, or machining training is considered an asset
- Valid driver's licence is an asset

Schedule & Location

- Permanent, full-time
- Monday to Friday
- On-site in Mississauga, Ontario

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
