We are seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Apprentice with a minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience to join our team.

The successful candidate will have strong experience in commercial HVAC and sheet metal installation and be capable of completing day-to-day installation work with limited supervision while continuing to work toward Journeyperson / Red Seal certification.

Responsibilities

- Install commercial HVAC ductwork and ventilation systems
- Install ducts, fittings, VAV boxes, grilles, diffusers, vents and related HVAC components
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and install sheet metal components
- Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings and specifications
- Take accurate field measurements and make necessary on-site modifications
- Assist with layout and fabrication of ductwork and sheet metal systems
- Use hand tools, power tools and sheet metal equipment safely and effectively
- Inspect completed work and identify installation issues or deficiencies
- Coordinate installations with Journeypersons, Foremen and other construction trades
- Ensure work is completed according to drawings,



specifications and applicable codes
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship and quality
- Follow all company and site safety requirements

Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of sheet metal experience required
- Solid commercial HVAC and ductwork installation experience
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings and specifications
- Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and installation techniques
- Ability to accurately measure, cut, shape and install sheet metal
- Experience taking field measurements and making on-site adjustments
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve installation problems in the field
- Knowledge of applicable construction and safety requirements
- Strong work ethic, reliability and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively as part of a construction crew

Pay: From $30.00 per hour
