We are seeking an experienced Controller to lead the accounting, financial reporting, treasury, budgeting, and strategic finance functions for a diversified group of companies.

Reporting directly to the CEO, this leadership role will oversee a team of six accounting professionals and partner closely with senior executives to drive financial performance, improve cash flow, strengthen internal controls, and support strategic growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Consolidation

- Lead the preparation, analysis, and consolidation of monthly financial results across multiple operating entities.
- Ensure accurate, timely, and complete financial reporting for executive leadership and stakeholders.
- Develop and enhance consolidated reporting processes and frameworks to improve efficiency and provide meaningful business insights.
- Analyze financial results and identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational performance.

Accounting, Controls & Compliance

- Oversee all accounting operations, month-end and year-end close processes.
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Manage annual external audits and serve as the primary liaison with auditors and external advisors.
- Establish and improve financial policies, procedures, and reporting practices.

Treasury & Cash Flow Management

- Lead group cash flow management, forecasting, and working capital planning.
- Monitor liquidity and optimize cash utilization across the organization.
- Develop strategies to improve financing efficiency and reduce borrowing costs.
- Support corporate treasury functions and banking relationships.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Strategic Planning

- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process across multiple business units.
- Partner with executive leadership to align financial plans with corporate goals.
- Provide financial modeling, scenario analysis,



and strategic recommendations to support business decisions.

Corporate Finance & Business Partnering

- Collaborate with senior leadership on capital structure planning, financing strategies, and funding initiatives.
- Evaluate new business opportunities, investments, and expansion projects through ROI analysis and financial modeling.
- Deliver actionable financial insights that support long-term growth and operational excellence.

Leadership & Team Development

- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals.
- Conduct performance reviews and support employee development and succession planning.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration.

Qualifications

- CPA designation (CPA Canada) required.
- 6+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with leadership experience in a Controller or Senior Finance Manager capacity.
- Robust experience with consolidated financial reporting in a multi-entity environment.
- Proven expertise in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis.
- Experience supporting executive leadership with strategic financial planning and decision-making.
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
- Experience within manufacturing, distribution, real estate, property management, or diversified corporate environments is considered a strong asset.
- Fluency in Cantonese or Mandarin is required to effectively support communication with stakeholders and business partners.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Salary will vary according to experience. Pay: $100,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
