We are seeking a caring, reliable, and energetic individual to join our team as an After School Age Worker & Cook. This position involves creating a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for children and youth while preparing nutritious meals and snacks for the program.

Responsibilities Include, but Are Not Limited To:

- Supervise and support children and youth participating in the After School program. Plan and facilitate age-appropriate activities that promote learning, culture, and well-being. Prepare and serve healthy meals and snacks while following food safety standards. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen. Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff. Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants. Assist with daily program setup, cleanup, and documentation as required. Follow program policies, procedures, and health and safety guidelines. Participate in team meetings and training as required.

Qualifications The Successful Candidate Will Demonstrate:
- Experience working with children and youth is preferred. Experience preparing meals for groups is an asset. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.



The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Dependability, organization, and responsibility in the workplace. A positive, patient, and compassionate approach when working with children and families. The ability to work independently, take initiative, and problem-solve effectively. Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic program environment. Knowledge of Indigenous culture and language is considered an asset but is not required.

Licence/Certification:
- Responsible Adult Certification (or willingness to obtain). Early Childhood Educator Assistant Food Safe Certification (or willingness to obtain). Valid First Aid/CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain). Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Clearance.

Hours of Work Hours will be based on program needs and may include after-school programming hours.
