Airport Pickup Driver – Sunday Availability Required

We are looking for a reliable and friendly Airport Pickup Driver to provide transportation for international students, primarily Japanese students, arriving in Vancouver.

Your main responsibility will be to pick up students from Vancouver International Airport (YVR) and safely drive them to their assigned homestay or shared accommodation.

Many of our students are arriving in Canada for the first time, so we are looking for someone who can provide not only safe transportation but also a warm and reassuring first impression.

【Job Responsibilities】

- Pick up students from Vancouver International Airport (YVR) at the scheduled time
- Meet and greet arriving students at the airport
- Assist students with loading and unloading their luggage
- Safely transport students to their assigned homestay or shared accommodation
- Communicate promptly with our staff regarding pickup and arrival status when necessary

【Schedule】

Primary workday: Every Sunday

Pickup times vary depending on students' flight schedules and may be scheduled anytime from morning to evening.

For this reason, applicants must generally be able to keep Sundays fully available for pickups.

The following Sunday's schedule is usually finalized approximately one week in advance.

If there are no scheduled pickups on a particular Sunday, you will not be required to work that day.

Average Number of Pickups

- Typically 3–4 students per Sunday
- During the busy summer season, there may be additional pickups

【Compensation】 $60 per completed airport pickup/transfer,



including gas expenses.

Typical compensation for a Sunday with 3–4 transfers is approximately $180–$240.

The number of scheduled transfers varies by week and is not guaranteed.

【Requirements】

- Able to communicate effectively in English
- Able to keep Sundays generally available for pickups
- Legally permitted to drive in British Columbia with a valid driver's licence
- Own a reliable vehicle
- Vehicle must have enough space to accommodate at least 2 suitcases
- Safe and responsible driving habits
- Physically able to load and unload suitcases
- Punctual and dependable
- Responsive to messages and communication
- Robust time and schedule management skills

【Ideal Candidate】 For many students, their driver will be one of the first people they meet after arriving in Canada.

We are looking for someone who:

- Is friendly, welcoming, and comfortable meeting new people
- Can help newly arrived students feel safe and comfortable
- Is responsible and dependable
- Takes punctuality seriously
- Ability to communicate in Japanese is an asset, but not required
- Can remain calm and flexible when dealing with flight delays or schedule changes

This role is more than simply driving from one location to another. We are looking for someone who understands the responsibility of welcoming students to Vancouver and ensuring they arrive safely at their accommodation. Pay: From $30.00 per hour
