Monday–Friday Day Shift Scheduleâ¯
Voyageur Aviation Corp. is seeking a qualified Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (ACA) based in Ottawa, Ontario. This position offers aâ¯stable Monday to Friday, daytime schedule,
providing an excellent work-life balance while contributing to a high-performing maintenance team.â¯
Perform Line Maintenance Dutiesâ¯
- Dismantle airframes,â¯aircraftâ¯engines, and otherâ¯aircraftâ¯systems for repair, inspection, overhaul, and reassembly to the highest standards of airworthinessâ¯
- Troubleshoot structural, mechanical, and hydraulic systems;â¯identifyâ¯issues and perform repairsâ¯in accordance withâ¯technical manuals and proceduresâ¯
- Ensureâ¯aircraftâ¯areâ¯maintainedâ¯in compliance with company standards and Transport Canada regulationsâ¯
- Complete all maintenance tasks accurately and on timeâ¯
- Independently repair complex defects without direct supervisionâ¯
- Carry out and coordinate inspection, maintenance, and repair of companyâ¯aircraftâ¯and related systemsâ¯
- Communicate with Dispatch, Maintenance Manager, and Site Managerâ¯regardingâ¯aircraftâ¯serviceabilityâ¯
- Troubleshoot advanced system defects (fuel, hydraulics, flight controls, etc.) and perform corrective actionsâ¯
- Certify and release maintenance work following auditâ¯in accordance withâ¯company and regulatory requirementsâ¯
Maintain Aircraft Airworthiness Standardsâ¯
- Follow all safety policies and proceduresâ¯
- Perform duties with a strong focus on personal, team, and customer safetyâ¯
- Attend company-directed trainingâ¯
- Comply withâ¯Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs)â¯
- Activelyâ¯participateâ¯in the Safety Management System (SMS), including hazard and incident reportingâ¯
Other Dutiesâ¯
- Plan and perform maintenanceâ¯in accordance withâ¯published proceduresâ¯
- Complete hangar and office duties such as housekeeping, shipping/receiving, inventory control, and snow removalâ¯
- Maintain proper tool controlâ¯
- Keep work areas clean and organizedâ¯
Your Distinctive Ingredients for Successâ¯
- College diploma in Aircraft Maintenance from a Transport Canada approved institutionâ¯
- Valid AME Licence (Category M1) –â¯requiredâ¯
- King Air 200 experience –â¯requiredâ¯
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience asâ¯an Aircraftâ¯Maintenance Engineerâ¯
- Strong verbal and written communication skillsâ¯
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilitiesâ¯
- High attention to detail with the ability to work efficientlyâ¯
- Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlinesâ¯
