We are looking for a reliable Assistant Miller to join our warehouse team.

The Assistant Miller is responsible for operating and monitoring our milling equipment as well as packing products and driving.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate flour milling equipment and processing systems.
- Monitor grain and flour quality throughout the milling process.
- Make adjustments to equipment and milling settings to maintain product specifications.
- Inspect machinery and equipment for proper operation and identify and troubleshoot equipment or processing issues.
- Perform routine cleaning, sanitation, and basic maintenance of milling equipment.
- Monitor production levels, temperatures, moisture, and other process conditions as required.
- Follow production schedules and ensure orders are completed accurately and on time.
- Maintain accurate production and quality records.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, workplace safety, and company procedures.
- Assist with receiving, handling, storage, and movement of grain and finished flour as required.
- Communicate effectively regarding production, maintenance, quality control, and management teams.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure work area.




- Perform other production-related duties as required.

Qualifications:
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to understand and operate industrial machinery.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and make appropriate adjustments.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow written procedures and safety instructions.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment and performing physical tasks.
- Previous experience with food safety programs such as HACCP is an asset.
- Forklift experience is an asset.
- Millwright or mechanical experience is an asset.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move bags, ingredients, and production materials as required.
- Ability to work around machinery, grain dust, noise, and varying temperatures.
- Ability to safely perform repetitive physical tasks.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
