Automation QA Engineer – Adyen Payments

Location: Remote – Canada

Work Hours: Must be able to support PST hours

Duration: Long-Term Contract

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Automation QA Engineer to support enterprise eCommerce and payment initiatives. This role requires strong experience in automation testing, API/backend validation, payment processing workflows, and end-to-end order lifecycle testing.

The ideal candidate will work across frontend and backend systems and collaborate closely with development, business, and product teams to ensure reliable and high-quality releases.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and execute automated and functional test cases for payment and eCommerce applications.
- Test payment integrations across multiple payment methods and countries.
- Perform end-to-end validation covering payment authorization, order processing, fulfillment, and revenue recognition.
- Test REST APIs, backend services, web services, and system integrations.
- Validate Salesforce eCommerce applications and OMS/MAO workflows.
- Perform regression, integration, system, and UAT testing.




- Develop and maintain automation frameworks and reusable automated test suites.
- Write SQL queries for backend and data validation.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, defect triage, root-cause analysis, and release validation.
- Support continuous testing through Git and CI/CD pipelines.

Required Qualifications

- 7–8+ years of experience in Quality Engineering / Automation Testing.
- Strong hands-on automation testing experience.
- Strong experience with REST API and backend testing.
- Good SQL skills for data validation.
- Programming experience with Python or another programming language.
- Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience testing Salesforce eCommerce applications.
- Experience testing payment gateways/processors.
- Experience with OMS/MAO and order lifecycle testing.
- Solid communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to independently manage assigned workstreams.

Preferred Skills

- Adyen payment gateway experience.
- Boomi integration testing.
- Revenue Recognition (RevRec) validation.
- Retail or eCommerce domain experience.
