Neerlandia Co-op is looking to grow our team and hiring additional Automotive Technician for their Service Centre in Neerlandia, AB.
What you’ll do:
- Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and alignments.
- Diagnosing and repairing a wide range of light to medium duty vehicles.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for repairs Maintain a clean and organized work workplace.
- Communicating with the Service Advisor about the status of vehicles to keep customers informed.
- Using computerized testing equipment, conduct extensive diagnostic procedures to determine the sources of customers’ problems and provide accurate repair recommendations.
- The Automotive Technician will report directly to the Service Centre Manager and align objectives with Neerlandia Co-op shared values, purpose, and vision.
Who are you:
Education and Experience
- Valid high school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years relevant experience
- Apprentice or Journeyman Certification
- Preference will be given to Journeyman or 3rd year apprentice

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team environment
- High Attention to detail
- Strong ability to assemble and disassemble mechanical components
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to build lasting relationships
- Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written communication)
- High level of energy with strong customer service skills
- Ability to handle transactions accurately and be responsible
- The ability and commitment to work in a safe manner
