Your role revolves around avalanche safety, risk management, and leadership in a dynamic setting. In this essential role, you'll report to the Lead Avalanche Technician while implementing a comprehensive avalanche safety program. You will lead avalanche forecasting, conduct risk assessments, and train staff on safety practices. Your expertise will guide daily operations, ensuring safety for all and fostering collaboration across teams. Key Responsibilities:

- Operate avalanche safety and risk management programs
- Lead forecasting and control operations daily
- Conduct thorough risk assessments as needed
- Develop and implement training materials for staff
- Co-facilitate emergency response team training

Requirements:

- CAA Avalanche professional with Level 2 certification
- WorkSafeBC blasting certification and endorsements
- Advanced first aid certification (80hr +)
- 6+ seasons as an avalanche technician
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
