Senior AWS DevOps Engineer – AWS Networking & Security

Location: Vancouver, BC, Canada

Job Type: Contract

We are looking for a Senior AWS DevOps Engineer to join our Cloud Infrastructure team and help design, build, and support highly available, scalable, secure AWS infrastructure.

This is a hands-on role with a solid focus on AWS Networking, AWS Security, Infrastructure as Code, Linux, CI/CD, and containerized environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, implement, and troubleshoot AWS cloud infrastructure and networking.
- Work extensively with AWS VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, Elastic Load Balancing (ELB), Route 53, Resolver endpoints, DNS Firewall, Security Groups, NACLs, AWS Firewall, and VPC Flow Logs.
- Support hybrid connectivity (VPN/Direct Connect) and multi-region AWS architectures.
- Troubleshoot network performance and latency using tools such as iperf and sockperf.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform, Ansible, or Chef.
- Build and maintain Jenkins/CI-CD pipelines for automated deployments.




- Perform advanced troubleshooting, tuning, and security administration across Linux/Unix systems.
- Build and deploy containerized workloads using Docker, Kubernetes, and Amazon EKS.
- Develop automation and tooling using Python, Bash, and/or Go.

Required Skills
- Strong hands-on AWS DevOps / Cloud Infrastructure experience.
- Deep knowledge of AWS Networking and Security.
- 3+ years of experience with Linux/Unix administration and troubleshooting.
- Terraform, Ansible/Chef, Jenkins/CI-CD.
- Python, Bash, and/or Go scripting.
- Docker, Kubernetes, EKS or comparable container orchestration.
- Experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and technical leadership skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Preferred Experience with AWS network security, hybrid cloud connectivity, multi-region architecture, and network performance optimization.
