AWS Data Engineer – Banking

- 8+ years of overall experience in Data Engineering , with robust experience in Banking/Financial Services .
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud data services and enterprise data platforms.
- Excellent programming skills in Python and SQL .
- Experience building scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines using AWS Glue, S3, Lambda, EMR, Redshift, and Athena .
- Strong experience with Apache Spark/PySpark for large-scale data processing.
- Experience designing data lakes, data warehouses, and data models .
- Strong understanding of banking data , including transactions, customer data, payments, risk, regulatory, or financial reporting data.




- Experience working with high-volume and sensitive financial data with strong understanding of data security and governance.
- Knowledge of Kafka / real-time data streaming is an asset.
- Experience with CI/CD, Git, Jenkins/GitHub Actions , and AWS DevOps practices.
- Experience with data quality, reconciliation, lineage, and monitoring in enterprise banking environments.
- Strong understanding of AWS IAM, KMS, encryption, and security best practices .
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and collaborating with Business Analysts, Architects, Data Engineers, and offshore/onshore teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
