Azure DevOps Migration Consultant | Lead Large-Scale Enterprise DevOps Transformation

Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for an Azure DevOps Consultant in the utilities industry in a hybrid work environment in Calgary, Alberta. Join a major enterprise transformation initiative as an Azure DevOps Migration Consultant supporting the migration of a large-scale Azure DevOps workplace. This role is ideal for a hands-on DevOps professional with experience in Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and enterprise cloud environments.

You'll play a key role in executing migration waves, validating critical assets, modernizing release pipelines, and ensuring a seamless transition while minimizing operational disruption.

Responsibilities

Execute Azure DevOps project migrations across multiple controlled deployment waves

Assess projects, repositories, work items, and pipelines to support migration readiness

Migrate work items, repositories, dashboards, and queries while maintaining data integrity

Convert classic release pipelines into YAML-based multi-stage deployment pipelines

Configure service connections, variable groups, branch policies, and project settings

Implement security configurations and validate identity and access controls

Conduct migration testing, validation, troubleshooting, and post-cutover stabilization activities

Requirements

Strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps administration and enterprise DevOps environments





Proven experience executing Azure DevOps migrations, consolidations, or transformation initiatives

Experience working with Git repositories, Git CLI, and source control management practices

Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines including Azure DevOps YAML multi-stage pipelines

Experience configuring service connections, branch policies, variable groups, and permissions

Knowledge of Entra ID (Azure Active Directory) security controls and access management
