Dream Team Sports Club, a non-profit organization founded in 2016, is dedicated to building competitive volleyball teams and developing high-level badminton players. Guided by the motto “Excellence in Life through Sports,” the club promotes sportsmanship, discipline, respect, healthy living, and persistence on and off the court. Based in Hamilton, ON, D.T.

Club provides affordable, high-quality training to athletes of all skill levels in the community. The club emphasizes advanced drills, strong technical foundations, and a supportive, tight-knit environment where athletes can grow as both players and individuals.

Role Description:

Position Title Badminton Coach

Hours Mondays 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Contract Period September 2026 – June 2027

Pay $20-25/hour

No of Coaches Required 2-3

Min grade for hiring

Grade 11 and above

Closing Date September 5, 2026

Location St Therese of Lisieux Catholic Elementary School, 1760 Garth Street, Hamilton, ON The Badminton Coach role is based at 1760 Garth Street in Hamilton, ON, every Monday from 6 PM to 8 PM. Our coaches are responsible for planning and delivering structured badminton training sessions for athletes in grades 3-8.

They are responsible for teaching fundamental footwork techniques, providing individualized feedback, and monitoring athlete progress. The coach will organize drills and conditioning activities,



prepare athletes for competitions, and support their mental and physical development in line with the club’s values. Additional responsibilities include ensuring a safe training workplace, communicating regularly with athletes and families, collaborating with other coaches, and assisting with club events and administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

- Candidates should possess strong badminton coaching and playing skills, including knowledge of technique, tactics, rules, and match preparation.
- Candidates should possess skills in training session design, athlete development, and physical conditioning appropriate for different age groups and for beginner-intermediate level athletes.
- Candidates should possess interpersonal and communication skills to motivate athletes, provide clear instruction, and build positive relationships with players and families.
- Candidates should possess organizational and time-management skills for planning practices and tracking progress.
- Experience working with youth or community sports programs and a demonstrated commitment to sportsmanship, respect, and healthy living are preferred.
