About the Position

We are looking for a reliable, friendly, and energetic Key Holder / Barista to join our team!

This is a hands-on position where no two days are exactly the same. You will help create a welcoming experience for families while keeping the cafe and play space clean, organized, and running smoothly.

The ideal candidate is someone who is dependable, works well with others, can confidently work independently, and enjoys working with children and families. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated and takes initiative - someone who can look around, recognize what needs to be done, and stay productive without needing to be constantly directed.

Key Responsibilities

- Welcome and check in guests
- Provide excellent customer service
- Prepare coffee, specialty drinks, snacks, and light food items
- Operate the point-of-sale system
- Maintain a clean and organized cafe and play area
- Complete routine cleaning and sanitizing throughout the facility
- Monitor the play area and help maintain a safe environment
- Prepare, host, and clean up after birthday parties
- Open and close the cafe when scheduled
- Work independently when required
- Work as part of a team to keep Prairie Pals running smoothly




- Restock cafe and play area supplies
- Follow food safety and cleaning procedures
- Look for tasks that need to be completed during slower periods, including cleaning, organizing, restocking, and general upkeep
- Take initiative and stay productive without needing constant direction

What We Are Looking For

- Weekend availability is required
- Must be available to work during the day
- Must be available for some evening shifts as we offer late-night birthday parties

- Comfortable with cleaning and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness
- Previous barista experience is preferred but not required - we are willing to train the right person
- Must be able to provide references
