We are looking for someone who is confident behind the bar, fast, reliable, and experienced in high-volume service. This position is best suited for a bartender who can step into a busy wedding or event, stay organized under pressure, and provide professional and efficient service throughout the night.

We need someone who understands how to run a bar properly, manage multiple drink orders at once, handle payments accurately, keep the bar stocked and organized, and recognize when alcohol service needs to be slowed or stopped.

This is a part-time, event-based position, primarily Saturdays and weekends, with occasional weekday events. Candidates must be comfortable working long shifts of up to 12 hours when required.

Training will be provided and candidates must be available for training on August 27, 28, or September 3.

Responsibilities

- Provide fast, professional, and friendly bar service at weddings and special events
- Confidently handle high-volume drink service
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash and payment transactions accurately
- Keep the bar clean, organized, stocked, and running efficiently throughout the event
- Monitor guest alcohol consumption and follow responsible service practices
- Know when to slow down or refuse alcohol service when necessary
- Set up and close down the bar before and after events
- Restock beverages, ice, glassware, and supplies throughout the shift
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area and equipment
- Work well with other bartenders and venue staff




- Assist with training newer bartenders when required

Requirements
- Strong bartending experience is required
- Wedding, banquet, restaurant, nightclub, or high-volume bartending experience is strongly preferred
- Must be confident working a busy bar without constant supervision
- Valid Smart Serve certification
- Strong knowledge of alcoholic beverages, mixed drinks, beer, wine, and standard bar service
- Excellent customer-service and communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, skilled, and organized
- Able to work quickly while maintaining accuracy
- Strong attention to detail
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be able to stand for long periods and work shifts of up to 12 hours (with breaks in between)
- Must be available Saturdays
- Must be available for training on August 27 or 28, or September 3
- Must be able to pass a background check upon hire
- Preferably lives within approximately a 30-minute drive of Camlachie, Ontario
