Odd Couple is looking for an experienced Bartender / Server to join our front-of-house team.

We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys hospitality, works well as part of a team, and knows how to make guests feel comfortable and looked after.

At Odd Couple, our style of service is genuine, thoughtful and approachable. We want our guests to feel taken care of without hospitality feeling overly formal or scripted.

The Role

This is a combined bartending and serving position. Depending on the shift and the needs of the restaurant, you may be working behind the bar, serving a section, helping at the door, or supporting the rest of the FOH team.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable moving between different responsibilities and understands that great service is a team effort.

Responsibilities

- Provide friendly, knowledgeable and attentive service
- Bartend and serve depending on the needs of the shift
- Prepare cocktails, beer, wine and other beverages consistently
- Learn and confidently communicate our food and beverage menus
- Make thoughtful food and drink recommendations to guests
- Take orders accurately and efficiently
- Help manage the flow and experience of your tables
- Work closely with the kitchen, bar and other FOH team members
- Assist with hosting and greeting guests when needed
- Complete opening, closing and side duties
- Maintain a clean, organized and well-stocked bar and service area
- Help create a positive and respectful working workplace
- Support your teammates during busy services rather than focusing only on your own section

Who We're Looking For Previous serving and/or bartending experience is required.



Experience in both is strongly preferred.

Knowledge of Asian food, cocktails, wine or sake is an asset, but curiosity and willingness to learn are more important than knowing everything on day one.

Availability

We are looking for someone with both day time and evening availability. The position may include a combination of weekday and weekend shifts depending on experience and availability.
