Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Brake Operator to join our team. This position is responsible for setting up and operating press brake equipment to bend, form, and shape aluminum and steel components according to drawings, specifications, and production requirements.

Duties

- Set up and operate press brake equipment to form aluminum and steel components
- Read and interpret shop drawings, work orders, and specifications
- Measure angles, lengths, and dimensions accurately
- Select appropriate tooling and machine settings for each job
- Program and adjust machine settings to achieve accurate bends
- Perform test bends and make adjustments as required
- Inspect finished products for accuracy, quality, and workmanship
- Identify and troubleshoot issues with material, tooling, or equipment
- Minimize scrap and rework while maintaining production efficiency
- Complete production and quality documentation
- Perform basic equipment cleaning, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Maintain a clean, organized, and protected work area
- Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures




- Communicate production concerns and priorities with the Supervisor

Qualifications
- Previous press brake/Brake Operator experience required
- Sheet metal or metal fabrication experience
- Ability to read drawings and take accurate measurements
- Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Schechtl machine experience is an asset
- Cidan brake experience is an asset
- Strong safety awareness and reliability
