About The Role The Brand Manager – Canada is a critical role responsible for supporting the strategic growth, performance, and profitability of Moose Toys' portfolio within the Canadian market. This is a 18-month fixed-term, remote position that reports directly to the Senior Director of Marketing & Retail Execution.
The successful candidate will serve as the key liaison between global brand strategies and the Canadian market, translating overarching brand visions into actionable marketing campaigns and retail initiatives. You will oversee day-to-day operations for your assigned portfolio, making operational decisions that align with business objectives and market trends.
Your primary objectives include developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels such as media, digital, social, PR, influencer partnerships, retail, and experiential marketing. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless execution and optimal results. Additionally, you will support financial management activities, including budget tracking, sales forecasting, and analyzing market data to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
This role requires a proactive, organized individual with excellent communication skills and a strategic mindset to drive brand success in a competitive landscape.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in brand management, marketing, or a related field
- University degree in Marketing, Business, or a related discipline
- Proven experience in brand building and executing integrated marketing campaigns
- Strong analytical skills with experience using data to support decision-making and reporting
- Highly organized, self-motivated, with excellent time management skills
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities
- Experience collaborating across internal teams and external partners
- Experience in consumer products or toy industry is an asset
Responsibilities
- Support the development of comprehensive brand plans, including product recommendations, retailer distribution strategies, and promotional activities aligned with commercial goals
- Design and implement integrated marketing campaigns for product launches, utilizing media, digital, social, PR, influencer, retail, and experiential channels
- Manage agency relationships,
including briefing, timeline management, asset delivery, and performance evaluation to ensure campaign effectiveness
- Monitor market conditions, analyze competitive activity, and stay updated on consumer trends to inform brand positioning and campaign strategies
- Conduct post-campaign analysis to extract insights, optimize future campaigns, and report on key performance metrics
- Assist in managing portfolio financials, including pricing strategies, sales forecasting, and budget oversight
- Contribute to annual business planning and long-term growth initiatives through data analysis and strategic insights
- Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities and potential risks
- Support external licensor relationships by tracking deliverables and aligning on key milestones
- Collaborate with global teams by preparing insights, data, and recommendations to support Canadian market strategies
- Partner with Sales teams to develop retail strategies, support customer presentations, and execute trade marketing initiatives
- Assist in planning and executing key trade events, including Toy Fair, trade shows, and customer meetings
