About the Role

We are an independent cannabis retailer in Scarborough looking for friendly, reliable and customer-focused individuals to join our team.

We're looking for people who genuinely enjoy helping customers. You don't need to know everything about cannabis on day one, but you should be comfortable talking with people, willing to learn and interested in developing strong product knowledge.

Our goal is to create a relaxed, welcoming shopping experience where customers feel comfortable asking questions and never feel pressured into a purchase.

What You'll Do

- Greet customers and create a welcoming environment
- Check identification and follow age-verification requirements
- Answer product questions and make thoughtful recommendations
- Operate the POS and process cash, debit and credit transactions
- Accurately retrieve and prepare customer orders
- Maintain and continually develop cannabis product knowledge
- Receive, organize and restock inventory
- Keep the store clean, organized and presentable
- Follow cash-handling, inventory and security procedures
- Follow all store policies and regulatory compliance requirements
- Assist with opening and closing duties
- Handle customer concerns professionally and escalate when appropriate

- Able to work independently and as part of a small team

Previous cannabis retail or customer-service experience is an asset, but the right attitude, reliability and willingness to learn are equally key.

Requirements

- Must be 19 years of age or older
- Must hold a valid CannSell certification before beginning employment
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Available for approximately 20–30 hours per week
- Available for afternoon/evening shifts, including weekends and holidays as required
- Comfortable working in a regulated cannabis retail environment
- Able to follow security, cash-handling and inventory procedures
- Must be willing to complete a background check as a condition of employment

If you do not currently hold a CannSell certificate, you may still apply; however, you will be required to obtain your certification before your first shift.
